Can we camp overnight at the KRS backwaters?

No. Our writing says the KRS North Back Water spot is day use only: it is not a campsite, nobody gives permission to camp there, and there is no toilet, water or help close by. Mayank Sharma went for the day with his family, and Nilabh checked the rules again in October 2026. For an overnight stay, we recommend a permitted campsite with a fence, a host who stays the night, toilets and water, such as the Jungle Lodges camps near Bheemeshwari and Galibore.

Check before you go

  • Jungle Lodges tent prices are from about ₹5,100 a person (Bheemeshwari) and ₹4,800 (Galibore), as of October 2026; prices change with the season Source
