Where's the best place you've spent Diwali?
It might be your own balcony with the diyas lit, a ghat in Varanasi, or a quiet hill town where you almost forgot it was Diwali. Tell us where, and one moment you still remember.
Thank you. Nilabh reads every reply before it appears; yours will be here soon, and you'll get one email when it is.

Rajeswari In the noisy lanes of my humble house, filled with simple delight, every household on the streets, bursting crackers with glee with care for their pets which were tucked inside the houses. The young children held by elders who were scared to burst. The elderly hearing the children's and crackers sound compete from within the safe wall. These are the childhood memories I hold dearly for the place has now changed to PGs andcommercial centres with no families still staying there.

Nilabh Bangalore Kotagiri, 2022. We wanted a quiet Diwali this time, so we went to a homestay in the cool, misty Nilgiris, all tea gardens and deep jungle.
Just a few lamps, my wife, and our three-year-old, Yohaan.
Then came a surprise guest: in the night, a bear wandered right outside our cottage, caught on the owner's CCTV. Fun, a little thrilling, and nothing like any Diwali before it.
